Hey Reader
I would like to gently announce that Mercury retrograde is *not* personally attacking you.
It does not wake up each morning and think...
🤪 How can I inconvenience Reader today?
(For reference, this current Mercury retrograde runs from February 26 to March 20, 2026, drifting back through Pisces from 22 degrees to 8.)
AND YET, every time it rolls around, the internet behaves like it’s a villain origin story.
Here’s the thing....
Mercury retrograde happens three or four times every single year. It always has. It always will. Which means it’s not some rare chaotic event that suddenly appears to derail your life. It’s a regular, predictable cycle 👌
Mercury governs communication, plans, ideas, technology, travel, the busy buzzing parts of life. And a few times a year, from our little Earthly vantage point, it appears to slow down and reverse.
Not to sabotage us and glitch out our tech.
To help us sloooooow dowwwwwn.
And if I’m honest, I think that’s the part we struggle with.
We don’t actually hate Mercury retrograde 👇
We’re just deeply uncomfortable with pause.
We live in a world that rewards speed. Launch it. Decide it. Post it. Reply to it. Fix it. Optimize it. DO THINGS.
So when a cycle comes along and says, 'Hey, maybe revisit that. Maybe double-check this. Maybe give yourself a minute' our nervous systems don’t love it.
It feels inconvenient. It feels like delay. It feels like something is 'going wrong'.
But what if Mercury retrograde is actually one of the most supportive seasons in your year?
That’s exactly what I explore in this week’s podcast episode.
If you’d like the grounded, drama-free version of Mercury retrograde that might completely change how you approach the next couple of weeks, you can listen here:
